Menka, a bright and curious 8-year-old girl, is a student at our learning centre in Dwarka Puri. Known for her cheerful personality, discipline, and punctuality, Menka brings energy and dedication to everything she does. She’s the kind of child who makes you believe in the future—thoughtful, focused, and full of dreams.
Education is the most powerful weapon which you can use to change the world.
Menka comes from a humble family of seven. Her father is a daily wage labourer—the only earning member of the family—while her mother manages the household and cares for all five children. Despite the financial hardships they face, Menka’s parents are deeply committed to their children’s education and growth.
When her mother heard about our Remedial Education Program in Dwarka Puri from another parent in the neighbourhood, she knew this was the opportunity Menka needed.
Since joining the learning centre, Menka has shown noticeable growth—both academically and personally. Her reading has improved, and so has her confidence. She often visits our Community Library, flipping through pages of storybooks and imagining her own tales inspired by the colourful illustrations.
Her teachers praise her for her enthusiasm and willingness to help others. She’s already showing signs of leadership and empathy—traits of a teacher, which happens to be her dream profession.
“I want to become a teacher and help kids like me learn,” she says with a shy smile.
